Our award-winning Zero Waste program has helped divert up to 94% of festival waste from landfill in previous years!!
We are proud to follow comprehensive GREEN guidelines to protect the environment in our Plano community. The following efforts have made this an award-winning event for many years!
- Local suppliers & vendors for a lower carbon footprint
- Compostable food service items supplied to all food trucks to avoid Styrofoam & single-use plastics
- Composting of the food service items along with all organic waste
- Waste reduction and diversion from landfill, with the help of Green Ambassadors who educate festival attendees on how to properly sort their trash into organic, recycling and landfill bins throughout the festival, reached 94% in 2023!
- Eco-training for volunteers, food and booth participants
- Green Village featuring eco-friendly Arts & Crafts, demos on DIY cleaning and beauty products with natural ingredients, Eco play, and more!
